As the 2025 summer transfer window heats up, Juventus is undertaking a crucial task: rebuilding its attacking front. With the futures of Dusan Vlahovic and Moise Kean uncertain, the club is aggressively targeting new blood.
Their shortlist is star-studded — but limited resources and fierce competition make this one of the most high-stakes operations in recent Juventus history.
The Canadian international has emerged as Juve’s top target. Scoring 24 goals in his best season with Lille, and known for his speed and link-up play, Jonathan David is considered the ideal modern striker for the team’s evolving tactical plan under manager Paolo Montero.
“David would be a plug-and-play solution for Juve. He fits the vertical game we want,” an internal source told Tuttosport.
His market value has skyrocketed, now around €60M, but Juventus are working with Lille to potentially include performance-based bonuses to ease the financial burden.
After a difficult spell at Manchester United and a brief loan to Dortmund, Jadon Sancho is reportedly open to a new challenge. Juventus sees him as a low-risk, high-upside investment — especially with United open to a discounted deal or loan with option to buy.
According to Corriere dello Sport, new sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli is convinced that Sancho’s flair and unpredictability could reignite the Bianconeri’s stagnant attack.
This move would echo other tactical rejuvenations across Europe, much like Barcelona’s decision to loan Ansu Fati to Monaco in hopes of reigniting form.
Player | Club | % Likelihood (Est.) |
---|---|---|
Jonathan David | Lille | 50% |
Victor Osimhen | Napoli | 20% |
Nicolas Jackson | Chelsea | 15% |
Victor Gyökeres | Sporting CP | 15% |
Note: Victor Gyökeres is also being pursued by Arsenal and Liverpool, making Juve’s path more complicated.
To fund this rebuild, Juventus is looking to offload Vlahovic, whose salary and transfer value are both high. Other possible exits:
These exits would open salary space and allow the club to reinvest wisely — a model also followed by Barcelona’s financial turnaround earlier this year.
Surprisingly, Paulo Dybala has not been ruled out. With Roma’s financial situation unstable and Dybala’s exit clause still active, Juventus may consider bringing back their former No.10 as a leadership figure and second striker — if no other moves materialize.
Juventus is not just planning transfers — they’re planning a reset. The club is seeking dynamism, youth, and identity in attack, and names like David and Sancho could define a new chapter in Turin.
